About Us

Hawthorne Hill has been trading now for 25 years’ it came into being when Sylvan became interested in cake decorating and sugar flowers. Mike saw her making leaves for a floral spray and told her that ‘he could think of an easier way to do that’. The first products were a range of cutter/veiners for leaves but the method was soon developed to include butterflies, lilies and orchids. Our rubber moulds have also proved very popular

From the outset it was decided to go for a quality product which gave a true replication of the subject. To achieve this, the sets contained all the cutters veiners and formers to allow even a beginner to succeed and the skilled to achieve an astonishing standard.

Many teachers use our products and our customers include the kitchens of Buckingham Palace and the House of Commons. We sell World Wide, our farthest customer to date being Tuvalu (a very small country on a group of pacific islands).

We aim to make it as easy as possible for our customers to use our products and on this web site you can download our instruction books and video clips for free.

This is our new web site and it will be continuously developed. We would very much like your comments about it and we hope to maintain a meaningful dialogue with our customers, many of which have been with us since the earliest days.
